Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
beautiful location, beautiful rooms, you get a rustic japanese lodge with access to traditional kimono, haori, and tabi.
the room itself has a minibar with free beer and soft drinks. the highlight for me was the private hot bath which was hoter than the public hot spring.
there is a guidebook in english about different resturants and bars in yufuin and the staff were able to book us.
the staff spoke good english and were super helpful about everything!
Lodging does not include breakfast. Only coffee and tea are available at the common living room.
We bought food from nearby shops so it wasn't an issue. We love the family onsen.
When I first made the reservation, I thought it would be inconvenient to use a shared shower, but since I thought it was my home, there was no burden. I especially appreciate and praise the patience and kindness of the Korean-speaking person. It feels cleaner and more considerate than any other lodging.

1
It starts with a booking
It starts with a booking

2
Followed by a trip
Followed by a trip
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.
3
And finally, a review
And finally, a review
After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.
