Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Lush is a gorgeous place to stay – it is exactly that, very lush. So much flora in the lodge itself, where the restaurant is is breathtaking. It is also extremely close to the conservation area, which was a lovely perk and once of the highlights of Atitlán.
Stunning lodge, tastefully decorated, amazing views over Atitlán. So close to San Marcos, an easy 10 minute walk. Felt secure as well, and loved the private dock, great for a dip and sunset watching. The water here is clean, which is not the case around much of the lake sadly.
Would definitely come back!
it feels like a home stay - the place has a very warm vibe. food is wholesome - I was vegan throughout my stay there. the location is v convenient which is rare for lodgings in San Marcos
