The hosts were warm welcoming and went the extra mile. From the initial booking throughout our stay they were responsive and thoughtful, even to the point of helping us get our car out of deep snow up the long driveway just so we could get home safely.
The lodge was perfect for a couple. Warm and cozy. We didn’t get to use as much of the outdoor space as we would have liked because of the weather but we are definitely going to return. Overall a fabulous weekend in a cozy and relaxing setting

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Perfect location for local attractions and this very clean and beautiful lodge would definitely be recommended. We were met and greeted on arrival by the lovely friendly lady who runs the lodges. She made us feel welcome and was able to give us advice on local restaurants etc. Would certainly stay again.
Well kept site, quiet and the lodges were well spaced apart. The views from the living area were beautiful and the lodge itself has all mod cons and was modern, clean and comfortable. The area is well placed for tourist attractions and exploring the national park and dales. Thirsk has plenty of restaurants to choose from and a lovely cinema dating from 1912 which is run by volunteers and a great experience, worth a visit if they're showing a film you want to see as we did, oh and the admission price is cheaper than the chain cinemas.
The location was perfect to travel the Dales and North York Moors. The Granary was perfect with every amenity we required.
Amanda and the team were perfect hosts even offering breakfast choices to the self catering cottages and lodges. Perfect place to stay.
Well maintained, friendly site with spacious Lodges and fantastic views. Well located for day trips around North Yorkshire with some good food all around.
