Stayed in a lodge, it was spacious and really quiet, loved sitting out on the deck with drinks in the evening (bring insect spray, it's a wooded area).
The lodge was comfortable, very well equipped and scrupulously clean and welcoming. The host had thought of providing everything we could need to help us feel welcome. The bedlinen, towels, crockery etc are of a very high quality.
Beautiful lodge in a great location. Village had plenty of places to eat. Only a 10 minute walk from the lodge. We caught the bus into Skipton took 10 minutes to get there. Beautiful countryside for walks.
Wren lodge exceeded our expectations in terms of the quality of the lodge. The property was very spacious for 4 adults and the interior quality was excellent.
The location was also excellent for us. It’s a short walk into Gargrave for shops, pubs and restaurants, yet being on the very edge of the village made it very peaceful. This was also aided by the very limited number of lodges on the site and the careful orientation of these made them very private.
Will be returning.
The hotel was a gem of a find. When booking we didn't know what to expect but it was excellent, from arrival to leaving. Extremely clean and the host was very friendly, informative, and assisted us with our needs. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed included. Parking at the rear, which was off the main road. The breakfast was amazing and had a great level of choice. If we ever need a place to stay in Skipton, we will definitely check the availability of Dalesgate Lodge first. I would highly recommend staying here.
Lovely lodge, clean and comfortable, everything we needed and more. Great location, very peaceful site and ideal for exploring the area. Loved sitting out on the covered veranda even in the rain. Good communication from owner with clear instructions and information. Loved our stay here, would stay again and recommend

The lodges are very warm and cosy located in a stunning part of the world. Loads of beautiful locations all around you as you're in the middle of the dales, plenty of villages, waterfalls, and river walks to fill your days out!
Everything we needed was there and we had such a wonderful time, we were there for 5 days and we feel so relaxed and recharged.
I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away and tune into nature and be in the middle of nowhere.
