Thoughtful additions of tea and coffee,bread,milk and fruit juice. The staff at The Crown were excellent, Jake the Manager ensured that we were able to gain access to our accomodation on arrival.Good food at The Crown .Will definitely be back !

The log cabin was fine! However the jacuzzi was faulty also the fridge there was no shelves in there! I also had to wash the cutlery as they were very dirty! The location however was very good!

Stunning well maintained peaceful location. Family get together staying in 3 Woodsman lodges, the large hot tub was well used by all. The children absolutely loved the animals, play areas, football pitch and the space to run around. Steve and Sarah are really friendly and welcoming, going that extra mile. Steve provided a stand for a disposable bbq, and late in the day Sarah even provided an electric lighter when we realised that we nothing to light the bbq with.
Wow wow wow what an excellent stay we had .. lodges super clean and the area super peaceful and tranquil .. kids play areas where amazing we can not recommend this place enough .. perfect for families .. close to flamingo land .. York .. and Pickering village was amazing .. can’t wait to go back !!!
It was nice and quiet; everyone appeared respectful to other residents.
Food onside was really good.
Heating worked well (stayed in other lodges/cottages/caravans which have been freezing)
Kitchen had everything you needed to cook (we decided to eat out every night as it was a holiday for mum too)
Very close to flamingoland. In-between York, Scarborough and Whitby. Dog fields down the road and a track road to walk the dogs.

What a beautiful find these lodges were, we arrived at about 4.30pm after only having booked it 2 hours before due to our original booking elsewhere being cancelled. The lodge was lovely and toastie warm and the hot tub was amazing and very hot. The lodge had everything we needed for our stay, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The lodges are all very private and with fairy lights all around it was a beautiful romantic break for us, will definitely be returning.
Very Nice setting, with a small number of lodges, two play areas, some small animals and games barn this would have been amazing has we had better weather (it poured it down the whole time we were there). It was very clean. Had everything we needed , hairdryer, bath towels, aider to dry stuff off etc.

I would definitely stay again beds were comfortable lodge was clean everything you need for a comfortable holiday. my daughter loved the hot tub that was clean and easy to use thank you rockland’s
