Lakeside Eco Pod, hotel in Oswestry

Lakeside Eco Pod is located in Oswestry, 10 miles from Chirk Castle and 16 miles from Erddig, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed.

We were kindly upgraded so didn't stay in the pod due to the terrible weather at the time. (It was very late, very dark, windy and had been raining across England for days.) I suspect there might have been a search and rescue if we'd tried to walk through the field to the pod in those conditions. So I can't comment on the pod. But look forward to returning at some point when the weather is better.

The Snug at Coed Y Gaer is located in Oswestry, 30 miles from Chester Racecourse, 7.5 miles from Whittington Castle, as well as 11 miles from Chirk Castle.

The Snug is in a beautiful and remote location which was exactly what we were looking for when booking. It was a beautiful sunny autumn morning when we woke up so we sat outside and had a lovely chat with our host, David.

Faraway Follies, hotel in Oswestry

Located in Llandegla, Faraway Follies has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The accommodations have a hot tub.

Everything! Lovely cabin, great wood fired hot tub on the beautiful balcony with breathtaking views of the surrounding farmland and woods and the inside of the cabin was spot on too! Brilliant facilities! Didn't miss the television at all! Despite having our 2 year old with us. The bed was so comfortable and everything about the place ticked all of the right boxes! It was perfect for us even the little things like the Pukka tea bags. We had fresh milk, juice, homemade marmalade and out of this world chicken liver, tequila and cranberry pate waiting for us in the fridge which went down a storm! Could've easily stayed longer!! We loved it so much we stayed for two nights instead of one.

Beautiful little lodge in a beautiful location. We booked this simply to relax and escape, and it was perfect for that. The position of the bed gave the best view of the river. Peter & Lorain were friendly and helpful when we arrived. the hot tub was ready to go and we were left to it. Would definitely visit again.

Lovely secluded lodge. Very hard to find as no name and map on website takes you to the wrong place. Would have been good to have known about the toilet facilities being in the barn opposite with the squash court and bar Was lovely and quirky place to stay but without being told by a squash player who was just leaving we would never have known.

The location, the other facilities in the lodge e. g. the radiator, fridge, couch, cooking facilities and tv. The hot tub also. Plenty of space to park and nice scenery.
