Everything about our visit exceeded our expectations. The food quality was phenomenal, the staff were always ready to assist and the views where incredible. The surrounding area is easily accessible, the Eden Project only being a 40 minute drive away. We decided to "splurge" on Christmas dinner all cooked by one of the owners and it was the best 3 and a half hours of eating we have ever experienced. If you like nachos these are the best we have ever tasted and honestly we would do the 5 + hour drive for them alone! We look forward to visiting again. Best Christmas ever!

Host was generous, making the stay wonderful. She provided homemade pastries and bread, homemade jams, farm fresh eggs, local meats from a boutique butcher, and plenty of firewood for the fireplace. When putting together food for us she even inquired to food allergies. It was clean, bright, and downright adorable; my wife and I plan to recommend this place to everyone interested in staying in Cornwall.

Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Lodge was very nice, plenty of room, very clean. Grounds were so lovely and well kept. Outside furniture was lovely. Really comfortable lodge with quality furnishings. Such a peaceful setting and the peacocks were lovely to watch.
location was amazing . the lodge was very nice. Ate in tge restaurant in the manor home . food was lovely too quite area . peacocks was amazing not noisy. The owners very nice too.
We were a family group and booked two lodges for a weekend break. Our lodges were lovely, very spacious and well equipped. It was nice to be able to have meals at the hotel too if you didn't fancy cooking! We had an evening meal & a breakfast, both were very good & all the staff we met were exceptionally friendly. We loved seeing the peacocks roaming around too.
Excellent location, exceptionally clean and well presented with everything we needed for our family holiday, nice touch with the board games the kids enjoyed playing and the balcony with a lovely view of the horses. Lots of brochures and tourist info in reception, a well laid out welcome pack in the lodge and friendly staff. It's our second time staying at Great Trethew and wouldn't hesitate to go back. The peacocks are fascinating to watch too!
Stayed in May for 2 nights and it was exactly what we needed as a base for a wedding.
The lodges are set beautifully above woodland, ideal for sitting out on the balcony/deck with your morning coffee with the peacocks for entertainment.
The Lodges are really well laid out and nicely decorated, it felt really fresh but homely at the same time.
There is an onsite pub, which was very nice and traditional.
All the staff we encountered were lovely, would happily stay again if in Cornwall.
Very comfortable. Sunken hot tub was huge and a fabulous addition. Just outside the lounge door so easy to access. Lovely views. Lots of space between lodges so felt very private.
