The lodge is absolutely massive! From opening the door, it's a real WOW!! spotlessly clean, a real home from home. Also, right next to the river Esk, so hearing the river is so relaxing and the birds are a bonus. Just bring yourself! The host allowed us to check in early, which was fantastic. Also an amazing cafe 30 yards from property, very reasonably priced, food cooked fresh!
The location was okay. Plenty of walks in and around Langholm. The lodge was a dream really clean, comfortable and cosy. Would love to stay again! Hopefully next year. I would recommend!!
The lodge was absolutely gorgeous and very convenient for country walks or exploring the surrounding areas. Everything you could want was available, all quality home comforts. Planted with hedges and greenery around to give privacy, with the babbling river running to one side, sitting out on the patio was so relaxing. A very small site with cafe (although actually closed when I was there). Proximity to the road gave you easy access to travel and was not intrusive at all.
A Beautiful lodge located right next to the river ewes. Stunning scenery. The town is part of the Langholm Walkers Welcome Community. There are 14 different walks to venture out on. You get a complimentary basket of wood upon arrival. Loved the wood burner and the underfloor heating was a lovely extra. Rebooked for April 😁
