Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Ease of checking in to the lodges.
Messaged ahead of time to arrange a shower seat for one of our party who is a wheelchair user and it was there in place for our arrival.
Brilliant lodge, really spacious and comfortable. Close to Inverurie. Would recommend.
We chose Clovenstone Lodges for a girls chilled out hen weekend for my sister. Our lodge was Gairoch, and it was everything we had hoped it would be and more! We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! The house is stunning, large bedrooms, an open plan kitchen/ living room with a huge window looking out on to beautiful countryside. The hot tub in the decking was the perfect way to chill! It was just amazing! We would 100% recommend a stay here.
This was my families second visit. We absolutely love the lodges. Just stunning, so clean and everything you need is available.
Graham is a fantastic host and checked in before we left.
The property is absolutely stunning and the host very helpful. There is nothing more you could want when staying at Clovenstone lodges. We enjoyed the spacious communal area. The property has everything you could need really! BBQ, hot tub and some grass area to spent time. The rooms are spacious and bed very comfortable, we would highly recommend and would love to stay again.
The grounds of the Lodges are lovely and our lodge (Ramsay) had a fantastic view of the castle. It felt magical.
The bed was comfy and the kitchen and overall facilities were well stocked and thought through.
The farm shop and cafe is EXCELLENT and if you're staying here you must visit it. We had breakfast there both mornings, the berry smoothies are lovely.
Location and set up of lodges for a family of 15 was great. We all want to return as we had such a good time!
So well equipped. All utensils, trays, etc you would ever need. Really appreciated the coffee, tea, sugar, sprays, soaps, washing liquid, cling film, tin foil, etc. Plus, good to have a speaker provided.
Hot tubs are also a great addition.
Beautiful lodges in a fantastic setting, the view out the back to the castle from our patio terrace was stunning.
The bathroom/shower in particular were fantastic - great water pressure and the shampoos/body wash provided smelled lovely.
The strawberries and cream which were there on our arrival too was a lovely touch.
We were allowed to put our luggage in one of the barns whilst we enjoyed the rest of our afternoon after checkout which was very handy.
