The room was lovely and cosy with a lovely view over the lake. They were unable to offer a travel cot or dinner but they were very helpful in providing recommendations and personally called to apologise that no cot was available.

The lodge is beautiful and well kitted-out with high quality fittings and furniture. Effective controllable radiators meant we were comfortable in November. The bedrooms are spacious with proper beds which are comfortable and there’s enough hanging space/drawers to unpack properly. The kitchen is small but functional with a good gas hob and oven and enough pans/utensils to cook a proper meal. Nice views and the lodges are arranged so that no one is overlooked by another. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Great location in walking distance to Broadway.

The location was great .
Wildlife was lovely to see .
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Compact lodge with everything needed for a short stay. Very efficient heating system when required. Surrounded by lots of grassy areas and plenty of space between lodges.
Super spot for meeting up with family. We were kindly based in two lodges next to each other. The lodges were comfortable and my children appreciated having wifi. There is a small children's play area, but too young for our children. There is a little tea room and antiques shop on site. Very easy to find.
The host Mark was very accommodating for our late check in. The lodges have all you need for a weekend away and really helped that there was all the basics you need e.g. milk, tea, coffee
The lodges are so lovely and comfortable. We have a four year old and he loved the bunk beds! it’s excellent for young children as there is a field opposite the lodges which had tractors and on the other side of the field was a train track which kept our little boy entertained for hours. the playground is also really good for young kids. if you are looking for a relaxed self catering base to explore the area I would highly recommend Avondale Lodges.
Welcome pack, milk and biscuits .the lodge was comfortable and ideal for our family get together , we had 2 lodges and we were very kindly put next to each other without asking.
