Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
How remote the place is. Dunvegan is a remote area which we knew prior to booking. We had a car so travelling around was very easy for us. It was nice to be in the middle of nowhere :)
Beautiful views out of all of the windows! Truly stunning.
The house was extremely clean and was kitted out with everything we needed and more. It was really lovely and we would definitely return.
We had a great time at Skye Lodge!
Very friendly hosts, cosy room with the most comfortable bed and a great sunset view over just another idyllic Loch (or Firth...), tasty homemade breakfast, great starting point for any Skye adventure!
This lodge village is a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful setting. A short walk through an estate takes you to the beach, and there's great hiking from the location, and all around.
Communal kitchen had everything you need to cook.
The hosts are lovely, and the place is immaculate.
This is absolutely perfect place to stay. Beautiful, remote area with amazing views. Cabin itself has everything you need and is really nice and cosy.
I can highly recommend it!!
A very special place : the eco lodges were comfortable and welcoming : lovely beds and bedding and even hot water bottles were provided .
The green house shower was a wonderful experience. The catering shack was really user friendly: lots of pots and pans / crockery etc and the wood burning stove was ideal on a damp night .
An amazing stay !
We loved how easy it was to just switch off from everything and just relax. The Lodge was so cozy with the fire going it was super warm.
