Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Location was excellent, particularly with a dog. The lodge is beautifully furnished, the crockery and utensils are great quality.
The site is quiet and well maintained.
We enjoyed some great walks along the Jurassic coast.

Where to start, the location is fantastic, the lodge itself was just perfect and I can’t think of anything they haven’t thought of. The hosts were so lovely - thanks Hilary and Richard.
We had a lovely stay at Orchard Retreat. Katherine was a fantastic host and the lodge was amazing (it looked nicer than the pictures). The hot tub was awesome, extremely warm and relaxing! We definitely plan to come back.

Great position on the outskirts of Dorchester,close to a shop
The hosts are excellent and friendly. A very tasty breakfast and set up in a way you talk to other guests. We slept in one of the lodges to the rear which was exceptional, clean and tidy.
