My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Black Mountain Bespoke Breaks in the stunning Black Mountains of Wales, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived in the evening, we felt like we had stepped into a tranquil retreat, with the entire place to ourselves.
Caitlin, our incredible host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Despite the chilly weather causing some pipes to freeze in one of the huts, Caitlin immediately resolved the issue by offering us another hut. Her open, honest communication and willingness to accommodate us were truly commendable.
The thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it feel extra special. We were greeted with fresh bread, farm eggs, homemade jams, Prosecco, sausages, and milk—an absolute treat! The setting was breathtaking, and the interior of the hut was beautifully designed, creating a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere that we instantly fell in love with.
Caitlin’s hospitality didn’t stop there; she generously allowed us a late checkout, which gave us extra time to soak in the serene environment. With plenty of wood provided for the fire, we were able to relax and enjoy the warmth and ambiance of the hut without a worry.
I wholeheartedly recommend Black Mountain Bespoke Breaks to anyone looking for a peaceful, rejuvenating getaway. My girlfriend and I left feeling completely refreshed and already planning our next visit. Thank you, Caitlin, for an incredible and unforgettable experience—we will be singing your praises to everyone we know!

Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Fantastic location, near to the high street and river. Stunning views both upstairs and downstairs. We had everything we needed - found it comfortable and relaxing being in the lodge, I liked having the french doors opening out onto the outside space and we were lucky to have had good weather so were able to take full advantage of this.
The lodge has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Excellent quality bedding and towels with spare if needed.
Shower pressure was great..exceeded expectations.
It is right by the river edge - waking up to the sound of the river was amazing.
Just a short drive into the town for an excellent selection of pubs and cafes.
location of lodge, by the river. Very clean site,
spacious lodge with parking. very friendly town 30mins walk Bluith Wells.
Lodge had everything, sky TV plenty of cooking utensils and cutlery plus a balcony to dine and watch the ducks on the river, a Robin who visited every morning plus a BBQ And garden.
perfect for any kind of holiday. no disabled access but other lodges on site did have.
This Lodge is absolutely amazing, it took our breath away when we entered, and we have stayed in many lodges over the past few years. The decor is wonderful, along with all the other little touches, you really need to visit this Lodge to appreciate Anna’s hard work and thought that has gone into this. Outside on the decking is fabulous, you have a gas barbecue and an excellent set of table and chairs, and it’s so peaceful looking out over the lake…easiest 10 out of 10 I’ve ever had to give.
We have stayed at 2 other lodges on this park over the last few years and can honestly say that the standard of this lodge is significantly better than the other lodges we have used. Anna was easy to communicate with and as we were celebrating a 50th and a 16th, Anna had decorated with balloons and left us the most amazing cake. Lodge was well equipped, a tv in all rooms, Wi-Fi good, beds were comfy and great use of storage under the beds.
It was clean, spacious and homely. the views were great around the area and not far from Builth wells town so all the shops were local for any needs. the Caer Beris lodges and facilities were lovely and so peaceful. Already planning our next visit. While the hosts were not there, they were only a short message away and quickly replied with any queries we had and got them sorted.
