Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The safari lodge was very cosy and had all the amenities we needed. We also loved the location of the lodge and felt it was really good value for money! We had amazing stay and would definitely recommend.
Brilliant property, Matt as a great host. The Safari lodge was fab and ideal for Wilson who is a nervous dog, plenty of land to walk him in peace and quiet.
The Bruton area is very nice and rural, not many shops in the town centre but then we didnt go for shopping, the actual safari lodge was very nice and had everything we needed for a short stay, it was quiet and very relaxing, it is near a lot of Somerset towns and villages that can be explored.
Overall it was a very nice experience...
The lodge has been sophistically designed to ensure simplicity and uniqueness meet where they complement each other. From the moment we stepped in we were pleasantly surprised by how beautifully each area of the lodge unraveled itself. The interior only second to its surroundings. We can only thank our host for the exceptional experience and ensuring our every need was thought of in advance.
Certainly not a Travelodge! Quirky, interesting place to stay - first impressions were not great, but they were wrong - well off the beaten track, beautiful setting, made to feel very welcome, our room was modern, fresh and spotlessly clean, the evening meal and breakfast were to a high standard - we liked it.
Beautiful place to stay. Been nice if the pub round the corner was open, but it is what it is.
The lodge 8s a big tent type of thing. Lovely inside. Could do with slightly better cooking facilities, cold at ight but comfortable
.
We booked last minute as taking dog for stem cell treatment in Bruton and accommodation wehad booked not suitable. We literally arrived 2 bedraggled over 50 women and a dog at 930pm- got lost
Matt was so welcoming
The safari tent has everything you need
Great shower, toilet and fab kitchen.
Four poster bed and Woodburner.
Please be mindful to keep your dog on a lead as you are sharing this lovely family's home / garden area
There is also beautiful Boat House if you want a more log cabin experience
Would return
