The Firs is a beautiful place and is a great place to relax away for a few days. Plenty of space to walk around or sit by the lakes. And it’s lovely to sit outside at night. The owners are really friendly and helpful with all your needs. I will definitely be going back again.

This is a horsebox which has been converted into a great little place to stay. It's small, so don't expect miracles, but everything you need is there. It has a clean, efficient toilet and shower, a well supplied kitchen and a lovely little wood burner. Everything is well described in the information booklet. The animals in the nearby field are lovely and the location is beautiful in the middle of the countryside. The decor is charming and everything worked as required. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly to my questions.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
This was our second time staying at the Kingfisher lodge. We went back because we loved it the first time around. We love the location, and how peaceful it is. The space isn't half bad either, it had everything we needed and was decently sized.
Lovely location so peaceful and lots of wildlife to see from the lodge .
The lodge was very well equipped and lovely and clean it was very tastefully decorated can’t fault it . All the staff were welcoming and friendly.
It was near Headcorn airfield which was convenient for the Battle of Britain air show over the weekend which was purpose of our trip .
We loved that it was out in the countryside enough to feel well rested and peaceful, but within an hour or less could get to places such as Dover Castle.
For keen anglers this is a brilliant place to stay too. The land in general is really ideal for a family looking to get the family away from the hustle and bustle as they have acres of woodland for the family to explore too.
The cafe on site cooks brilliant breakfast too.
The lodge has everything you need, is clean and a Real home from home.
We would come back and recommend
The lodge itself was great, very spacious and plenty of beds, storage space and seating. The surrounding area was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Located in a very peaceful area, shops and cafes within 5 minutes drive. I would definitely come back here to stay again.
The lodge was warm and cosy. Great soundproofing in the lodge. The staff were exceptionally helpful especially as we arrived late and left very early!, Nothing was too much trouble and always ready to help with local information.!. The on-site cafe is a bonus for morning coffee. Lovely area for walks and a short drive to many heritage sites- would recommend Leeds castle! We had a wonderful family weekend here!
Even as non fishers, the view was amazing, calm and relaxing area and staff were really friendly and made check in smooth.
the lodge was well facilitated and private from others- kitchen well stocked and the rain shower was amazing!!
