We loved everything about this lodge. The owners were lovely, the lodge was perfect for a week away. It was clean, warm and everything we needed was available. The shower was incredible! And very comfortable bed too! Really nice welcome hamper when we arrived with local produce in and option to have breakfast if wanted. Tim and Karen gave us some great suggestions of walks and places to go in the local area. It is the perfect place for a peaceful break or holiday with beautiful scenery and nice long walks by the lake or on the fells. Lovely secure garden for the dog to enjoy and not have to be tied up like in most places we have been. We have already looked to book again for next year!

We had a lovely stay this weekend, a beautiful place and so peaceful, close to many amenities. The caravan was very clean and spacious and so comfortable. Phillipa was a lovely host who even made us a delicious ginger cake for our arrival, we will definitely be back.

Quiet & peaceful rural location. Spacious accommodation. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Within easy reach of north lakes attractions and the Solway coast. Pet friendly with facilities for dogs and local walking routes. Would recommend for a relaxing family get-together.

Tim and Karen were wonderful hosts. They provided us with advice on hikes as well as food and drink while we stayed.
The lodge itself was clean, comfortable and the perfect size for a party of two. Couldn't have hoped for better!

Last minute luck! We spent 3 nights at Tim and Karen's lodge. We liked it very much and spent additional night... Both Karen and Tim found time to greet us and say good by. It was all perfect, me and my other half love this lovley lodge, perfect size for a couple and had everything you would need, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the lake district, plenty of walks, wildlife park 5 minute drive away, towns close by. Thank you for a lovley week!
A very friendly welcome from Karen and Tim, who were helpful throughout our stay. A very comfortable lodge which proved to be an ideal base for exploring the North West Lakes - an added bonus was a bus stop 3 minutes walk away which provided an hourly service into Keswick, thus saving parking fees. The Pheasant Inn was a 5 minute walk away and provided us with some good evening meals.
