This lodge is beautiful on the inside, super clean, modern with a fresh beach lodge feel. It really is massive. We had a toddler running around with so much space without worrying about bumping into things or knocking things over!
Sam & Justine left us a welcome pack with all the info we needed and on the run up to our short holiday/family visit, they were constantly in touch, keeping us up to date and ready for our stay.
It has all the amenities you could ask for - a dishwasher, a built-in fridge freezer, an oven and many of the little essentials you need when staying away - toilet roll, hand wash etc.
The rooms really were stunning, and the bedrooms were dressed perfectly with crisp clean bedding and towels.
The lounge/dining area is so cosy and inviting with little personal touches throughout.
The outside furniture is fab also, we didn't have the weather unfortunately to fully appreciate it, however if it had of been, there is plenty of large seating/lounging furniture with lots of cushions for a very comfortable outdoor experience.
It has a bathroom and a separate shower room, both with sinks and toilets that are again clean, fresh, and welcoming.
The decor is second to none throughout the lodge and has all the equipment and facilities of the home... we will definitely love to return to this particular lodge the next time we visit Woolacombe.

The is a lovely pub in a village not far from Barnstable. The owner was a wonderful host, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a nice big bed. Breakfast was a delight and you could have exactly what you wanted and a reasonanle time of your choosing. We had two wonderful evening meals too and these were very good. We highly recommend Humters Lodge and will be back., that is if it not fully booked for our dates.
Really nice place to stay. Very handy to have the pub as part of the complex. We had dinner and breakfast there and highly recommend it. The staff in the Lodge and the Inn are all very friendly so the service is excellent. We would definitely stay again when we're visiting the area in future.
It was ideal for what we needed, with parking right outside the lodge. We were using it as a stopover on our way down to Cornwall and would definitely stay again. It was lovely and quiet, too, and dog friendly
Hunters Lodge is a few hundred yards from family who we were visiting, so very convenient. The room and bathroom were excellent and very clean. Although the Lodges and pub are run as separate businesses the staff in the pub where breakfast could be organised were excellent and very friendly.
Location was stunning. Welcome pack was a lovely touch. Varley lodge itself way exceeded expectations, it is a beautiful property. It was incredibly clean and well presented.
Lodge accommodation close to inn with covered walkways. Comfortable bedroom and spacious bathroom. Nice restaurant with good food and attentive staff. Good value
Excellent stay at Hunters Lodge. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. The staff and food at the adjoining pub were excellent. We will definitely stay here again.
