super super friendly staff, the location of the lodge is awesome. We hope we can return for another time int he winter (we passed through end of May 2023). they even called when they found our USB power adapter in the room (which we hadn't noticed beeing missing sofar).
Everything was like in the pictures, nice wooden house with great aura. Host was very friendly. 20min walking distance to shop and center of a town. Sauna was great :)
The location was fantastic by the frozen lake you felt private and could watch the skiers. I enjoyed the landscape around anc it was near to the Lapland Safari office.
Well situated; near the lake, which is an excellent spot for Northern lights (w/o street lighning) and very close to good Snowfunsafari where we booked all our excursions, next door to a gourmet restaurant Poro.
The breakfast of the hotel if excellent, large variety of dishes. We enjoyed local and continental breakfast (our doughters loved the self made gauffres :-)
We did not test the dinner.
We also loved there were available slides and local "potkuri" to have a ride on the snow.
Perfect location, close to center of Äkäslompolo with supermarket, restaurants and safari companies. Very comfortable and well equiped. We enjoyed sauna and chimney fire. Any question was answered immediately without delay.
Very cozy lodge with excellent amenities and very friendly owners. I felt like at home, but with better breakfast :-) all important locations are within walking distance, cc skiing tracks start very close, and the skibus stops right in front of the house. Perfect!
First of all: the structure is in a wonderful and quiet area near Akaslompolo. It's a good spot to see the Northern Lights even if the trees around the bungalows hide a lot the lights. Even if it's a WONDERFUL Lodge, for my next tripto Lapland I would choose another structure without trees in the neighborhood.
Everything, very cosy, good location in Akaslompolo (our third trip here so we know the place quite well), good equipment specially the wood for the fireplace and the ski lodge, well decorated, close to the cross country trails. Good sauna.
