Boho lodge Montezuma l&l, hotel in Santa Teresa Beach

Situated 5.5 km from Montezuma Waterfal, Boho lodge Montezuma l&l offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

This was hands down the best accommodation we stayed at in Costa Rica. It is in the middle of the forest, but there were no mosquitoes. The grounds and lodges are kept meticulously clean and the gardens around the property are stunning. The lodge was very spacious, having two bedrooms, a kitchen/living room and a bathroom. The kitchen was very well equipped and we also used the terrace outside to have our breakfasts, often watched over by the local iguanas and birds. There is no TV in the lodge, but we actually found that a plus. The lodge had everything we needed and the place has a very special feel. On arrival we were greeted with a freshly baked bread. The swimming pool was very clean and great for a refreshing splash after a day out fand about. The owner was a genuinely nice person, very friendly, professional and very helpful with any queries we had, as well as recommending things to do in the vicinity. We walked over to the island cemetery at low tide and our favourite beach was Play las Manchas (between the lodge and Montezuma). It was one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed at and we absolutely loved everything about it.

Fidelito Ranch & Lodge, hotel in Santa Teresa Beach

Fidelito Ranch & Lodge has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Tambor, 11 km from Montezuma Waterfal.

There were three of us who stayed in the three bedroom villa, next to the forest frequented by howler monkeys. The interior is rustic, just as we wanted. We provided our own meals without any problems. The owner Brigit was super helpful, and in addition toi explaining details of how to get around by car for shopping, retaurants etc, she provided the essential help for us to get to the right place to commence our salt water fishing session. This required WhatsApp calls and messaging, which she offered to initiate, rather than us asking.

This was the most beautiful and perfect lodge. It’s got a gate that protects you and your car. The cabins are all so clean with AC and have their own little terrace with hammocks. There is a beautiful pool and outdoor lounging and shower area. The kitchen and community space is beautiful and shady. The whole place is so clean even though you’re in the jungle. There is a path to the beach which is directly outside. and you’re by surf shops and stores. It was literally heaven.

We loved staying at the Funky Monkey Lodge. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. The lodge had a very peaceful atmosphere. The location was great, away from the street noise and just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend staying here!

The beds are just incredible! So spacious and with curtains that allow you privacy even in the dorm. The place also looks like a nice authentic wooden house, not an hostel. You feel like sharing your room with sisters rather than having a spot in a dorm. The staff is also supernice! For Christmas they organised a dinner and secret santa for all the guests. They managed to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere

The pool and shared area is definitely the highlight of Calamocha Lodge! Enjoy it from sunrise to sunset (and beyond!), spot the wildlife from the pool and unwind in the comfy lounge chairs. We also loved our casita, clearly built and cared for with love. It felt private, yet we could sleep with all windows open at night. We didn’t get to use the very cute kitchen a lot, but it was definitely well equipped.
