Looking for a lodge?
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

The property is close (a couple of minutes) to the main road, but is actually inside genuine tropical forest with dispersed lodgings and a pool. We saw there more animals (at closer distance and in a shorter time) than in the nearby Carara national park (with fees to pay on the internet). We had a spacy house. the breakfast was good and the pool nice. Excellent value for money, in particular relative to Quepos (manuel Antonio).

The grounds are lovely and the breakfast was nice too. We saw hummingbirds over breakfast but that was about it for wildlife. It was only a 10 minute drive to carara national park which was good. The bed was comfy enough and you can park right outside your room which is a lodge like building.

great location, and the facilities at the resort were superb. The hot spa pools were lovely, especially to relax in, in the evening. The pool bar was also great, we ate dinner and then had cocktails whilst sat at the pool bar. Beds were on the basic side but we had our own lodge with parking space outside and an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano. It was great value for money. The breakfast was very good, great variety
