Daniel and Hannah were so wonderful. This is a beautiful sanctuary up in the mountains on a coffee farm. The road getting there is paved until the very end, but they offered to pick us up if our car can’t make it up the last five minutes . The views are stunning, we saw toucans right from our house. There’s a beautiful waterfall on the property.
They also offered a very reasonably priced meal, which was an incredible experience. We were vegan and they were able to accommodate this easily.
Highly recommend this place.

The property is well designed. There is lots of shade. My balcony had a hammock and lounge chair that overlooked the river. I appreciated that there was a restaurant on site. It made dinner very easy. My room was exactly like the picture only better in person. The bed was comfortable and it was great having a private bathroom.
Also, Miguel was so helpful with things to do. I didn’t have a set itinerary and his suggestions really helped me make the most of my 2.5 days there.
Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The location is incredible. As soon as you step into the ecolodge you feel relaxed. Staff is helpfull. Do know that getting up here is a bit of a challenge but definitely worth it.
This is a beautifully equipped lodge set above Minca in a tranquil location. Everything about it was designed so that we could enjoy the natural light and surrounding environment. The air conditioning was very efficient and there was plenty of hot water. We could walk to a cafe and chocolate finca and also a small waterfall for bathing. The owners are very helpful and provided breakfast from their bird observatory which was a lovely 5 min walk away. If you want peace and a bit of luxury living, this is the place.
Sol de Minca was a tranquil eco lodge with lovely staff, a relaxing vibe and beautiful facilites. They care about being eco friendly, the rooms are lovely and also comfortable. Everyone is very helpful for information and advice! Everything I had from the menu was delicious and it is a 20 min walk or short moto taxi ride to Minca town.
A great eco lodge in a magnificent setting. Great facilities, friendly and helpful staff and excellent food. A great place to relax and enjoy nature. Completely recommended.
We had an amazing 2-night stay at the mundo nuevo lodge. The room was comfortable and the staff were lovely. We ate most meals there and they were all delicious. There's so much to do/see, from bird watching to coffee tours to hiking to waterfalls. The views/sunsets were wonderful. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Colombia.
Stunning location. I spent 3 nights in one of the luxury lodges, with a balcony, which had the most fantastic views. The staff are lovely, friendly & helpful. The food is really good too. Loved the pool. Ensuite had hot water :) About 10km from Minca village, far enough away to escape the noise. Complete peace & tranquility. I loved the outside fire in the evenings. This place is very special.
AMAZING! The philosophy behind the project is just incredible: as soon as you arrive the hosts introduce you to their work and invite you to treat your stay as an adventure into nature. The lodges are beautiful and have amazing views (we even got to see toucans!!!), the main terrace opens on a stunning view that you can appreciate while enjoying delicious food. Honestly, probably the best place where we’ve stayed! We went away really inspired, rested and hopeful. A great example of what sustainable tourism can be like.
The lodges are beautifully built - all open air with green forest surrounding the entire place. The owners have done a magnificent job of creating a peaceful, healthy atmosphere. They are very committed to growing their own food and to sustainable living.
