Looking for a lodge?
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

We loved our stay at Smithers Driftwood Lodge - the property is gorgeous, with views of mountains all around. Our bed was comfortable and the room was QUIET, even with the windows open. We were tired after several days of traveling and needed a good night of sleep. So glad we didn't book a hotel room in town, right on the highway ...

Second time at LDR. Stayed in the Dutch Treat, smaller than the big lodge that we stayed in last time, but just as spectacular. Love this place! The property, lodges, owners, they're all fantastic! Very comfy beds and bedding, great shower. And they're building a beautiful sauna for the cabin.

I slept like a baby. The beds are comfy and the bedding and towels are so soft and beautiful. I took photos of the pillow and towel tags because I wanted to order my own. The property and lodge are taken care of so well, and the place is spotless. I cannot forgot the views of the mountains are to die for. I will definitely be going back the next time I spend anytime in Smithers.

It is a beautiful lodge! The owners manage it themselves and have everything set up perfectly. It’s a very private property with no neighbors yet still an easy drive to Smithers. The beds are very comfy and everything is spotless. Mark and Yelena, the owners, are beyond amazing. For us they are new friends. Oh! The main living area in the lodge is gorgeous and roomy and comfortable. Such a peaceful and inviting place and experience. I recommend this experience to anyone who values authentic friendships and private beautiful settings.

Location was lovely, main common area in the lodge was impressive- massive fireplace with high ceiling.. The deck was great for sitting and watching the view.
