Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Didn't expect much as looked like an ordinary Motel but the room was extremely comfortable and attached to a restaurant. Although extremely busy the one waiter was very quick with our order and the food,though simple, was fresh and tasty.
Reception staff ( Dan /Doug?) was amazingly helpful giving us discount vouchers for the local River Safari.
Plenty of free parking and next to main highway.
Not 5*Luxurious but great value for money and very comfortable beds
great access to get to Vancouver. have stayed at Lodge for years. m
