Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
We stayed in safari tents which were well set nicely apart and very comfortable. The restaurant area was great - our teens loved that there was soccer on the screen in the bar area. It was great having a restaurant menu rather than set menus like most other lodges in the region. Breakfast was excellent. A self-drive visit to the pans was a highlight :)
The staff was friendly and helpful. Directed us to a lodge where we could have dinner. Rooms were clean. Even thou it felt like a back road, lost of road works going on, the security was closing the gate at night and we felt safe.
Very convenient and super easy checking. We had everything we needed for our stay in our safari tents. The outdoor shower was superb, and despite it being a winter's morning, it was powerful, heated just right and a great experience even if it had no roof! The breakfast was just perfect and set us up for the day ahead! Thank you 😊
The location was great. A lovely, sense-of-the-wild spot. Ambience of the setting is great. The safari tent in which we stayed was beautifully appointed and the attention to detail was superb. One definitely did not get the impression that it was accommodation largely disregarded by management (as is sometimes the case).
Excellent service and delicious food. Tented rooms are comfortable and Lodge is conveniently located. Staff at reception very friendly and happy to assist with any queries. Restaurant was cozy and food was delicious
The property was exceptional, but Bookings.com never booked our stay with Nata Lodge. We had a confirmed booking from Bookings.com but when we arrived at Nata Lodge they did not have our booking. We were very disappointed and we had to settle for accommodation in town as the whole of Nata was booked out. We drove very far and looked forward to the experience, but it was not to be.
The whole lodge is lovely. The safari tent we stayed in was very comfortable. The food was delicious (especially the oxtail). The staff are very friendly and helpful.
