Sponars Chalet, hotel in Perisher Valley

Just 8 km from Perisher Ski Resort, this historical 3-storey lodge features an indoor heated pool, steam room, plus a bar and restaurant with open fireplace.

Location: this is the only thing I can really recommend Sponars for. It is a 10 minute drive to the main Perisher car park. Previous issues mentioned with the Wifi not reaching upper floors have been remedied: we got good wifi signal in our room on the 2nd floor (which is needed as it's in a mobile phone black spot due to the location) The pool was warm. The lounge area is cosy and comfortable. Room and adjoining bathroom was clean.

The dinners were excellent and the service exceptional. We dealt mostly with Chris and Kyle who were both extremely friendly and always happy to have a chat. Thanks to Jodie for a wonderful and relaxing stay. We loved having pats with Chilli.

Karen and Shane as well as all staff were exceptional! Made it a great experience for us and will definitely be back. The lodge was in a great location at the bottom of the slopes with easy access to blue cow as well as front valley, pretty valley, etc. Food was outstanding and the wine list was extensive. The lodge has a fire place in the main lounge room as well as a sauna and pool table downstairs so always something to do

I can’t wait to review how happy we were during our stay in Boonoona Lodge. Matt, the manager, and all his staff were so nice and friendly. They were so considerate and helpful. We had the best meals we ever had in Perisher area. We enjoyed relaxing at the spa after a full fun day of skiing. Matt picked us up and dropped us back to the snow saved us from walking on ski boots. Excellent service!

We loved our stay. Matt was super helpful. The best part was food, especially the dinner, awesome quality and taste. Since it is not too crowded we enjoyed the TV room as well as Pool. The location is not that bad and walkable given there was no snow on the road. Matt did provide pickup and drop from the lodge to the Perisher Center.

Everything is perfect host is super nice and helpful chief was brilliant . I’ve never had such a delicious meal in any of the hotel ( most of them are five start quality and the food is expensive yet not as good as the lodge !) Kids were super happy and enjoy their kids meal as well. We can’t wait to come back again with our family ! Thank you Matt and team !

A big thanks to the manager who was super helpful through out my stay. Dinner was amazing, far beyond other ski lodges I stayed near by. The property was immaculately clean and extremely well maintained for a building at it’s age.
