Looking for a lodge?
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

I used the lodge for a writing retreat and it was perfect for this. I took short walks in between working and there were lots of lovely places nearby. I stayed in the cottage which had lots of beautiful spaces and was particularly well appointed given I needed to do food preparation.

I loved the road up, the bends, taking it slow, breathing the beautiful air. The rainforest to the countryside is peaceful and better than any therapy. The lodge itself is soft, warm and inviting. I loved the interior design of my lodgings and that it's different in a very good way to the modern standard that you get most places you stay which in my personal opinion lacks charisma. My gratitude to the lodge Owners and Managers for a stunning place to stay. We will be back.

Had a very pleasant stay at the lodge, it was quiet and peaceful—surrounded by the nature. The room was clean and beautifully decorated. Lucy, Joe, and Willow (lovely dog that lives there) were incredibly welcoming during our stay

Super cosy, host paid so much attention to details, great location. We're travelling a lot. From sleeping in roof top tents to 5 star hotels, we've seen a lot. Only a hand full of hosts were able to create a homely feeling and this lodge just did it. Stayed three days only in the cottage due to rain and loved it.

We had such a relaxing stay at Maiala Park Lodge. Relaxing by the fire in the evening, comfortable beds and homemade cookies on arrival made it the perfect weekend getaway.

The property is a beautiful, modern Queensland mountain lodge with heritage touches and charm. Its hosts are warm and welcoming and have considered every comfort for their guests. I had the perfect stay and highly recommend this place for solo travellers and couples.

Maiala Lodge is a very special place to stay. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are lovely, the views are amazing and the environment around the lodge is very special. Lucy and Joe have managed to make the lodge as special as the environment in which it sits. And I imagine it will get better and better the longer they are in charge.
