Sharlynn by the River is in a beautiful and peaceful setting and sitting outside on the private verandah was an absolute treat. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed. The provided breakfast food was excellent and plentiful - we had more than enough for our two breakfasts. Pam and John were very welcoming hosts as was Charlie.

The stay was very pleasant for my partner and I. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever you needed a helping hand. The wildlife was great. Being disconnected from the world was lovely. We will most definitely come again but try a different tree house. There is more room for improvement.

The 180 degree windows made for an immersive experience. The breakfast made our stay extra special. It was quiet and peaceful. And the jacuzzi tub was big enough for myself and my 6’2” husband!

Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
This Lodge is really a lovely place it is a lovely setting the grounds are well kept & so peaceful. The room was spacious with a nice view nicely furnished . Breakfast was great & the staff were very friendly & helpful. If you are on the Atherton Tablelands this is a lovely place to stay & different place to stay.
How the restaurant went out of their way to cook a vegetarian meal for us, as we could not eat any of the main dishes at the Friday night smorgasbord. Thank you staff and chef. Much appreciated. I also like the continental breakfast put on by the friendly staff. The lodge is a great place for a relaxing overnight or weekend stay, for exploring the Atherton Tablelands.
We love that the continental breakfast is included. Malanda lodge is a value for money stay, which is why we returned to stay (we stayed almost two years ago), as we wanted to show my brother and his wife how nice it was. They completely agreed.
The Lodge is a short distance out of Malanda, set in beautiful grounds. The restaurant had a good menu and the property also offered a complimentary breakfast in the dining room which gave you little reason to leave the property. The room was spacious with a door opening onto the gardens.
Malanda Lodge is a boutique motel situated on lush grounds, not far from the village centre. Staff are very friendly, facilities met all expectations. It is a great location to enjoy the surrounds and all that the hinterland has to offer.
Malanda is a lovely friendly little town and Malanda Lodge is a lovely friendly little hotel/motel. Loved the size of the room, the convenient parking right outside the door, the cute little kitchenette and the smart TV. Only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer.
The lodge is surrounded by beautiful gardens, very peaceful and comfortable. The gorgeous resident dog made us feel extra welcome! Good breakfast also included.
