Ideal for nature lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and have kitchen facilities. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than vacation homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
Beautiful peaceful stay at lovely Cicada Lodge. If you want a getaway into nature with all the luxuries, this is your place. Staff were wonderful and accommodating. Room lovely size - felt like you were right in nature. Recommend the dinner at the restaurant, noting there are limited other options nearby. Daily drinks and canapés included was a lovely touch.
Location, quiet and peaceful close to National Park.
Eco safari tents are perfect size, and comfortable. Camp kitchens are well equipped, clean and cool.
The bathrooms are super clean and handy.
The sunset on the deck is a must experience!
This lodge is very expensive but worth every cent. We were welcomed at 12:30 by Henry who gave us immediate access to our room.
This was huge with a lovely bathroom and small veranda overlooking bush.
Completely private and peaceful.
In the evening we watched the winter solstice sunset whilst enjoying complimentary drinks and canopies. A three course dinner followed which was excellent.
They had an exceptional staff: very efficient, friendly and super attentive. The breakfast was included and was beautifully presented and exceptional. They also had a happy hour period where guests could mingle for drinks and canapés. We would highly recommend Cicada Lodge!
A beautiful sanctuary, quiet & spacious. The safari tent is a must! 10/10 experience. The staff were beyond helpful and kind. We absolutely loved our stay. Enjoyed the huge swimming pool and used the great camp kitchen for dinner & breakfast.
The staff were amazing and incredibly helpful. The lodges are compact but comfortable. I particularly liked the tables and chairs outside where you can watch the light show from the storms roll around.
This was our second time at the lodge and once again it was a very relaxing stay. It's convenient to the gorge in a beautiful bush setting and the rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the welcome drinks on arrival and the sunset drinks. The three course dinner and breakfast were delicious.
