How quiet - how cold - how alone - how tranquil. How splendid!! The gentle lowing of the cattle, the crispness and clean air, the spectacle in the morning when we opened the blinds to be surrounded by the splendour of nature. I could sit at Owl Head Lodge and just 'sit'. It was quite wonderful

We have stayed in all the different types of accommodation on offer during various visits to Owl Head Lodge and all are just gorgeous! So secluded and peaceful, yet just a 5-10 min drive has you right in the heart of the main street in Gulgong. For spot for star-gazing by the fire pit on moonless nights. Pack your telescope!
Close to Gulgong but boasting a real ‘out of the way’ feel, Owl Head Lodge offers wonderful countryside views in a relaxed setting. Contactless check-in. Will definitely look to stay there again when in the region.
The room was a perfect size, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower and its view from it was amazing. The Owl Head Lodge was such an amazing place to stay and wake up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise coming in thought our windows just toped it off. We look forward to going back again.
Waking up and looking at the beautiful vista from bed. The bed was super comfy and the accommodation spotlessly clean. We did not want for anything. Rob even picked up a take away order, for our group, from the Thai in Gulgong. what more could you ask for!
I have no hesitation in recommending Owl Head Lodge for those wanting comfort, quietness, a beautiful setting and wonderful hosts
I cannot fault Owl Head Lodge in any way, everything was perfect from the lodgings, cleanliness, views, pool, furnishings and even the kitchen knives were kept sharp. It was the little things that bring it up over the usual like washing powder, an emergency torch, weber bbqs, DVDs friendly goats etc. We stayed here partially for the access to the Great Western Cycleroute and were not disappointed by having cute country dirt lanes right on the doorstep. Will be back many times.
The warm heated room upon arrival was very welcome, especially given it was about 4degrees during the day.
This property is superb!
Lovely touches included dressing gowns, a full size hair dryer, washing machine, hot hot water, a simple provided breakfast including coffee pod machine.
The absolute highlight was the country air and country vistas for miles…. Owl Head Lodge was a true escape from our everyday.
what’s not to like about this property. We’ve been staying at owl head lodge up to three times a year for 4-5 nights for 7 years. We like that there is a choice of accomodation type based on our needs and length of stay.
The serenity and beautiful country views, no traffic or pollution.
