Looking for a lodge?
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

Amazing stay! Loved the country lodge, it was cosy and warm in the 3 degrees overnight stay we had. Beautiful views and the Riesling trail was right in front.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Bruce Hill Country Lodge. A nice bottle of wine on arrival and some great breakfast provisions. There is plenty of space and very clean. Also hired bikes from the property during the day to check out some of the impressive vineyards.

Beautiful lodge and a very comfortable stay .. the spa bath is fantastic (aside from the water being pumped from the water tank) - but it was just a minor inconvenience. Otherwise everything was top notch and the hosts were extremely generous with all the provisions to make our stay extra special. Thank you so much for a wonderful place.

The old stone-built lodge was an interesting experience: spacious and at the very edge of the station. I really enjoyed the unspoiled silence and star-lit nights as well as the whole fabulous station which is a blend of a park and a museum of times gone by. There is also a nice pool close to the main mansion to enjoy on hot days.

Everything at Bungaree Staion was amazing. Thoughtful and considerate. Family staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Super clean Lodge with generous breakfast provisions. Heated blankets. Wood for the fire, books, coffee supplies, etc. all made this a great stay. The grounds are well tended, and the buildings are beautifully restored and maintained.

Everything supplied for breakfast - bacon, eggs, toast, spreads, cereal, yoghurt, juice and coffee (and I’ve possibly missed something off!). It was awesome. Location is perfect - five minutes walk away from Tim Adam’s Wines, our vineyard of choice! Spa bath was beautiful, as were the grounds. I would not hesitate to recommend Brice Hill Country Lodge.
