Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The lodge is located right in the heart of the national park, amazing views and very comfortable to hike around.
It's a nice apartment hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, well equipped. Make sure you bring your own coffee/tea! There's a coffee machine (filter) and kattle.
Breakfast was basic, but sufficient if you don't feel like eating in your room.
The owners were very nice, helpful and welcoming!
The pool was a great touch after a day of hiking.
Will definitely be back.
Excellent apartment, only stayed one night on our trip through Austria but was very happy with the accommodation. Owners very helpful, unfortunately they do not do meals, but you can eat next door.. apparently... but it was closed when we were there as were all the nearby restaurants. With planning you can cook in the apartment. The lodge is set at the end of a stunning steep river valley with superb views of the mountains, great for walkers etc.
