Refugio Montana was the most incredibly beautiful place to stay after multiple hard days hiking. The chalet style main house was stunning, inside and out - The cold river swims followed by wood fired hot tub warm ups were so welcome on the muscles. The food was perfect - home cooked, filling and delicious - a taste of chef Luciano’s hometown was also really special. Excellent bartending skills and yummy wine. The refugio is about 40 mins on a dirt road from Chalten but totally worth it as a great location to access walks from Rio Electrio. Biggest thanks to the amazing team for having us.

Anita has to be one of the most friendly hosts we have encountered in our travels. We had a bottle of wine gifted as she knew it was our honeymoon. Plus we were given a lift to the bus station after check out as it was raining. The accomodation is very well located, and easy walk to the main trailheads.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
The location in Chalten is so unique at the base of the mountain. The lodge and attention to detail from the staff is incredible. Also the food is an absolute highlight!

For the breakfast they provided scrambled eggs (just without any vegetables) - that's a plus compared to other hosterias/lodges I have stayed throughout my trip in South Patagonia.
Hair dryer was not provided in the room but you can barrow it at the reception!

Great location. Neer main street were we coud find grocery stores, laundromat, restaurants. The lodge has outside acess to the rooms. Our room was clean and worm. Continental breakfast was included.
The lodge is in an incredibly beautiful location, and the staff extremely hospitable. We felt welcomed into the family. Every meal was delicious, we loved having a personal guide (shout out to Leo) on the Lodge properties, yoga was an evening treat. It was a spectacular experience all around! We are halfway through our 30 day trip in Argentina, and so far, it is our favorite location.
The lodge was a short walk to the town centre. It was clean and the staff were welcoming. The bathroom was a good size with a good shower. There was parking available outside the hotel.
Tranqueras lodge is a wonderful, quiet place. They offer a lovely breakfast and they are close to downtown. We really appreciate the staff because they helped out with the heating and whatever else we need it. Thank you guys! You are wonderful?
