Big Blue Breaks, hotel in Umkomaas

43 km from Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve, Big Blue Breaks is a recently renovated property set in Umkomaas and offers air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking.

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Big Blue Breaks Holiday House in Umkomaas, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The accommodation was incredibly homey and intimate, offering a perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. We immediately felt at ease in the cozy atmosphere, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was ideal, with plenty of great restaurants and activities nearby. We particularly enjoyed visiting The Bell Restaurant for a fantastic meal, and The Waffle House for a delicious treat. Croc World also offered a fun and educational outing. Everything was just a short drive away, which made exploring the area so easy. The hosts at Big Blue Breaks were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Their hospitality went above and beyond, adding to the overall charm of our visit. If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-located spot to stay in Umkomaas, I highly recommend Big Blue Breaks. With its warm atmosphere, great location, and friendly hosts, it’s definitely a must-visit! We’ll be back for sure!

Theres so many things to do in Umkomaas.

Theres so many things to do in Umkomaas. In terms of food, I ordered a mutton bunny from Trishas home made foods, its located in Saicoor Village. Its so delicious. Theres also lots of other activities to do there. Overall I think Umkomaas is a hidden gem on the sapphire coast.

I was dark when I arrived and navigation was difficult especially when trying the read street names. It looked a little run down but the B&B I stayed in was excellent. In fairness the duration of my stay was very short so am able to comment in more detail. I spent most of the time with an ageing friend at Widenham Village.

What a superb place to stay. Just what I needed. Peaceful, the staff and Steff were beyond accommodating. Beautiful views and the food was absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in the Umkomaas area. Will definitely be back. It was fantastic and was one of my best and most peaceful holidays yet. Out of 10, I would give 10. Thank you Steff and family for everything.

My stay at Umkomaas Lodge was absolutely amazing. I booked for 2 days then decided to extend for a further 4 days. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The lodge is right on the beach so easy access to the beach and restaurant. The ocean view from the room was spectacular and I cannot wait to go back. Everything was as I expected and was overall good value for money - no ice views from my room too! Not a new building, but perfectly clean and comfortable, and though not in Umkomaas central (3 minute drive by car) the location is still convenient and safe. Lovely management, who I found friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
