The location was perfect for our needs. The unit, which had a kitchen/living area and separate bedroom & bathroom was clean, quiet and provided everything needed. The bed was super comfy. Our hostess was friendly and immediately put as at our ease. A delicious and beautifully presented breakfast was served each morning.

I was dark when I arrived and navigation was difficult especially when trying the read street names. It looked a little run down but the B&B I stayed in was excellent. In fairness the duration of my stay was very short so am able to comment in more detail. I spent most of the time with an ageing friend at Widenham Village.

The town itself is not a holiday destination.

The town itself is not a holiday destination. It is however right in the middle of everything else and travelling is made easier. You are no more than an hour away from either Durban or Margate. Scottsburgh is right around the corner. If more people get to stay in Umkomaas it can eventually become a tourist destination.

    Disgusting accommodation!

Disgusting accommodation! I booked Vicky's accommodation for my familyof 6 .We arrived on the 20th of December 2019. And had booked until the 22nd of December. Upon arrival we noticed alot of pet hair on the couches and bed. When we asked if pets were allowed into the apartment they said no. But it was evident that their dog had been there. I requested that they vacuumed the couches . There was a foul smell in the rooms and the bathroom stanks of dampness. Our fridge wasn't working and despite us changing the settings we were not informed that the fridge was infact faulty. On the 21st my mum spoke to Vicky about the fridge not functioning optimally to which she responded "oh but the freezer works fine". She is a rude and arrogant person. Her information on bookings.com is false. The entire place has a old fashioned , cheap approach. Our meat had gone off on the 21st of December and when we told Vicky she said we could have used her freezer. How would we know that the fridge wasn't working is anybody's guess! In addition, the bedding, and sheets had a stench to it. Definitely wont recommend this place to anyone! We had to leave a day earlier cause my parents fell ill. So we left on the 21st as opposed to the 22nd. Vicky smiled and said "next time book a hotel". She also told us that she has no maid hence the property is in that condition and she tried to tidy it up. I would suggest her using some of the money she makes to hire a maid after each family leaves. She refused to give us a refund despite the 6 of us leaving a day earlier. I would give them a rating of 0 out of 10!
