Loved the area, close to Strand Beach, but couldn't find local restaurants only the Somerset Mall. Maybe more info should be provided about where the local facilities are so one doesn't spend unnecessary time driving up and down hoping to find the local stores.

Sleepy little town. Very beautiful nestled between mountains and the ocean. Lots of restaurants, stores and wine farms conveniently located. Absolutely able to walk around, but good Über coverage as well. The Main Road is the spine of the town, and is dotted with artisenal burger restaurants, Sushi and more local fare.

It is located near Stellenbosch and a reasonable drive from Cape Town. All the amenities you need including shopping, cinema, restaurants etc. Depending on the time of year the weather (it was cold when we visited this year)it is an ideally situated location.

staff were amazing, fantastic team of ladies led by wonderful Rose. The accommodation was top notch. They couldn’t do enough for us. it was so peaceful, they’d thought of everything a guest would need. we’ve stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels all around the world, and this was up there with them. there is nothing Rose and her team wouldn’t do for us. The gorgeous pool area, the dam, the views, the sunrises and sunsets. Lalapanzi is worth every Penny, will be going back. highly recommended
This property far exceeded my expectations, to be honest I don't think I have stayed anywhere better (and this includes 5* hotels). The breakfast is superb - a work of art and delicious. Mario is super kind and caring about his guest's enjoyment at his house.
It is spacious and clean. It has all the necessary and modern utensils that made self catering very easy and enjoyable. It is also in a quiet suburb. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and went beyond the call of duty to cayer and accommodate my needs.
Maggie is an amazing host of a world class self-catering apartment. We had an amazing and relaxing one night. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, luxurious and comfortable stay in the Somerset West area in Cape Town.
Unit is very comfortable with all that is needed for a self catering stay. Hostess is attentive and responsive Unit was very clean and well maintained. Overall good value for money.
