Thessen Island is a well appointed development of residential properties, a few shops, restaurants and bars. Reached by a road bridge less than 1km out of the main town. Hotel is very well placed for restaurants and bars. We ate at tapas and Oysters ring next door as it was a bit more lively for our one evening. Bar and restaurant on site looked pretty good.
Room was spacious enough and comfortable.
Building is really interesting with lots of reminders of its industrial past.

Definitely stop at Pearl view for a coffee! Going back up from the view points back towards the parking lot may strain those who have difficulty in walking.... If that is the case looking at the view from this restaurant is just as good!

View from the Heads well presented area to take amazing photos. Pop down to beach area to enjoy lovely cafe restaurant but beware parking limited and it gets very busy for breakfast and lunch. Closes late afternoon.

You need a car to get up to the lookout area but the views are stunning. Failing that, take a boat trip from Knysna waterfront to the Heads and see it from sea level. Stunning either way, especially on a sunny day.

A very spacious and clean unit, fully kitted out, with quality (like new) appliances. A wonderful view over Knysna Heads from the main bedroom. Kim was a great host and we will stay here again if we are in Knysna!
Luxury spacious rooms, shutters , lift, airconditioning, balcony with Weber braai and deck chairs, with fantastic daily housekeeping and excellent views of the Knysna heads, sunsets, and location very close to Knysna lagoon and the ocean. Close to East Head café, golf courses, and great area for cycling, canoeing, swimming, hiking and sight seeing We had the best hosts - Amarille and Susan. I will definately visit again!
A fabulous guest house situated in a great area of the Knysna Heads. The place was beautifully designed and decorated to a very high standard. The staff were attentive and the breakfast excellent.
We loved our 2 days in Knysna and one of the many highlights was the stay at Phoenix Lodge. I don't think another property has this view of the Knysna Heads as this place does. Sunrises here are mesmerizing and I can't wait to come back. Breakfast was delicious! This is definitely the place to choose in Knysna

This is a gem of a hotel with lovely views of the Knysna Heads and lagoon. It's beautifully decorated with lovely gardens and a pool. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable. As it was winter, the log fires in the lounge and restaurant were very welcoming. Dinner and breakfast choices were very tasty. I cannot thank the staff enough for the way they looked after us - they are outstanding.
The apartment is right up on the knysna heads, which is just a short drive from town up to the top on the heads.
Self Check-in was super easy. The host sent a video showing exactly what to do.
Communication with the hosts is excellent and via whatsapp.
There's an undercover parking bay allocated for the one bed apartment.
The fridge is stocked with a few beverage items that you may purchase off the menu.
The apartment is furnished with electric blankets, which helped a lot!
This was a splendidly spacious apartment on two floors with glorious views of the lagoon and Knysna Heads. The gas hob and oven worked well and were proof against load-shedding. The bed and the lounge seating were very comfortable. The swimming pool was close by and very refreshing. I would recommend this property for an extended stay. The bathroom and the shower room both worked well. The staff were great!
