The location is second to none, incredible ocean and mountain vistas almost wherever you look, but what really made this experience something special are the staff, they are attentive, engaging and friendly. What really struck me about the staff is how much they actually care about your experience, always asking “can I help you with x” or “we can do y if that’s better for you” etc without skipping a beat!

Nicola and Marius are great hosts, kind and helpful in every way. I came without a warm jacket and Marius kindly lent me one of his. The panoramic lounge and deck on the upper floor gives wonderful views over the village and the spectator ocean, wonderful. Breakfast was included, everything you could possibly want, excellent.

From the moment of arrival this was fabulous - the team were enthusiastic and attentive; we had a room upgrade from great to amazing; views of the bay were spectacular; secluded area to wander about; fantastic food superbly presented. Lucky to secure the booking just before the busy season!

Elsa is the best, so accommodating and helpful. Such a friendly and welcoming host, we absolutely loved our stay there!

The view from the room is excellent. The room and bathroom felt luxurious. The accommodation is close to the beach and away from the noisy city center.

What an amazing find! Some of our group of 8 wanted to enjoy shark cage diving and we came across Benguela and struck lucky. The whole atmosphere is one of relaxed sophistication, with beautiful and quirky decoration and artwork. The bedrooms lead out on to a pool area, which is quite intimate, but was not a problem as our group had taken the rooms. There is a stocked fridge in the room and the shower has plenty of power. The real Gem of this place is Jonathan and his team. We opted to join for dinner which was the most amazing experience at the big, shared table. The experience started with gathering in the lounge for drinks and meeting the couple of other guests, then moving into the incredible dining room for a 5-course banquet, complete with paired wines. All the time being entertained by Jonathan and his very friendly hounds. Breakfast the next day was of course both tasty and beautifully presented. We had a couple of other requests. Like borrowing some towels and checking out later – all of which were kindly met with pleasure from our very accommodating host. We would be very happy to stay again…… you can book for the dinner even if you are not staying. Highly recommended.
