The hosts were wonderful. The farm setting was ideal, and allowed for very nice hiking and mountain biking. There was also a dam, and the hosts kindly allowed us use of their kayak, which was a bonus!
There was honey available to purchase, and firewood was provided (another bonus)!

It's a little dorpie, so not much to do there but Assegaibosch Lodge was amazing. Great property with springboks, horses and blue crane on site for viewing. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Great hospitality from Leandra and the team. A bit of a long drive from the Tsitsikama National Park but definitely worth the drive. Great price point as well.

Leandra and Frans made our first time stay truly remarkable. We stayed at Assegaaibosch from 23 to 27 December and it was such a fantastic stay we had. This cozy lodge has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts ( Leandra and Frans) delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and mouth watering meals and deserts. Lots of amenities on site. I highly recommend Assegaaibosch lodge to everyone!
