We stayed in house 3 which is a wooden cottage slightly set apart from the other houses. It is very well laid out with an open plan kitchen and living area and bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms either side. All rooms lead onto the balcony and have stunning sea views. There is a braai on the balcony. It was very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful coastal area, you can drive or walk down to a tidal pool and short track to walk along to a separate camping area . There are also small dams at the top of the road, with fish, birds etc. and a view of the mountains in the distance. Tsitsikamma forest nearby, lovely farmstalls and shops, although these are a bit of a drive away.

The view from the terrace is really breathtaking and the location is so peaceful! The house is well equipped, clean, comfortable. Even if I couldnt meet Ella, she was always available in case of questions.

It's a little dorpie, so not much to do there but Assegaibosch Lodge was amazing. Great property with springboks, horses and blue crane on site for viewing. Great views of the surrounding mountains. Great hospitality from Leandra and the team. A bit of a long drive from the Tsitsikama National Park but definitely worth the drive. Great price point as well.

Leandra and Frans made our first time stay truly remarkable. We stayed at Assegaaibosch from 23 to 27 December and it was such a fantastic stay we had. This cozy lodge has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts ( Leandra and Frans) delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and mouth watering meals and deserts. Lots of amenities on site. I highly recommend Assegaaibosch lodge to everyone!
