The hosts did a great job in creating a tranquil space. Unfortunately it rained and we could not enjoy the lush setting outside.
We fully enjoyed our one night stay. The host Helpi and her staff were very welcoming and helpful. The host recommended the restaurant Fields and Folk and it was delicious. We left a purse there and they called the hotel to let our host know. Because of the good connection of our host we felt very well taken care of. What a great service.

A really lovely Country House with lots of character. Excellent fine dining food and an incredible three course breakfast. The rooms had a lot of character. The team managing the house were fantastic, they have good attention to detail and professionalism whilst also demonstrating plenty of character.

Location was simply wonderful overlooking the mountains and alongside a river with great pool (which we did not use due to an overnight stop). Secure parking and neighbourhood, close to town and walking distance from restaurants (which Melanie kindly gave directions to).
Purpose built rooms with loads of space. Quiet, secure with a friendly welcome - probably the best guest house we've stayed in! Will certainly stay longer next time!!

This is a great location with some excellent local produce options. There's so much to see and do in and around Swellendam so take a few days to explore, meet the locals and to visit the Drostdy Museum.
This is a large guesthouse with 18 rooms, own parking, a nice swimming pool and nice restaurant for breakfast and lunch and really nice coffee. It is located near nice restaurants and a must-see historical place Drostdy Museum complex that provides a good impression of the early Dutch settlers.
Our host Hector was very friendly and accommodating. All the personal little touches made us feel at home right away. The lovely apartment is perfectly equipped, situated in a great safe neighbourhood with fantastic views and close proximity to numerous sightseeings, the Drostdy museum, shops, restaurants and nature attractions. We loved our stay and definitely would like to return. Thank you very much Hector for your kind attention, helpful advice, making our vacation so memorable and wonderful.
The breakfast was very good.
When we arrived, the temperature had reached 39 degrees so we were very glad to enjoy the swimming pool.
The best thing was that The View was very handy for the main tourist area so you can walk to the Drostdy museum and restaurants.
