Very nice lodge where the staff makes all the difference: it is run by two very friendly ladies who are very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the local area. Breakfast is a very nice buffet with the option to pre-order hot dishes. We only did that the first day, as the buffet itself was nice enough. Room was very well equipped and had a very nice and large terrace. Easy parking and secure environment.

After recent life stresses (not forgetting our busy city lives) – we booked in at the ‘Turaco Guest House’ in tropical St. Lucia for a much-needed break-away.
The guest house is named after one of my favourite birds – the beautiful and colourful ‘Turaco’ (the Natal Loerie) and is located in an attractively verdant street. My avian-affinity beside - the guest house lived-up to all my expectations for a relaxing and restorative stay.
When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our hosts and escorted to our stylishly-decorated unit. Turaco is owner-managed by team - Marlize and Johan.
Our accommodation was admirably spacious, spotlessly-clean, in immaculate condition and fully-equipped with all that is necessary for a comfortable and peaceful stay.
We enjoyed tasty, well-prepared and filling breakfasts overlooking the bright-blue swimming pool. May I recommend the crumpets and crepes.
Our host Johan was well-informed and suggested several local restaurants where we could eat in the evenings and the best routes to take in the game reserve. He also graciously booked a trip for us on Lake St. Lucia to see the hippos and the birdlife.
