As an Australian we were not allowed to tour the White House...
As an Australian we were not allowed to tour the White House as our consulate are too lazy to apply for us.
Americans have to apply through their congressman for permission so be aware that you just cannot turn up and request a tour like they do in the movies.!

This hotel is perfectly located in downtown DC, with both a Metro and Bus stop directly across the street and reasonable walking distance to the National Mall, the White House, Smithsonian's, etc. Room comes with an excellent full buffet breakfast. My room was pleasant, had everything I needed, including microwave and mini fridge. The staff were very kind, helpful, accommodating and friendly. Good value.

Our room was more comparable to a 1 Bedroom apartment with large square footage, a decent Kitchen, fully separate Bedroom and 1.5 Baths. Clean & Neat with quite a few amenities. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating
