Staying at The 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay was nothing short of magical. The view? Insane. I’m talking jaw-dropping, postcard-perfect scenery that makes you question reality. From sunrise to sunset, every glance out the window felt like stepping into a painting.
The food was equally as impressive – fresh, organic, and clearly made with love. It’s rare to find a place that marries luxury with sustainability so seamlessly. Whether it was breakfast by the bay or a casual snack, everything was top-tier.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. Everything is well stocked, stored, and ordered in the house. I pack well, but the little things I didn't have room for the house already had. The rooms were super clean and the beds were soft-medium. Several pillows, all of varying softness/firmness. Everything that the house has works, is up to date, and easy to find. Everyone slept like little rocks. The kitchen had all new amenities, which was nice since we cooked quite a bit, there was even a cooler with ice packs in the freezer which was nice to be able to pack snacks etc before heading out for the day. There is a grocery store in Princeville, and restocking was easy. Our favorite thing became walking down the golf course just before sunset and watching it set over the cliffs. The view was incredible. Dan was a great host, we had questions about things to do, and he always came back with detailed answers in a rather quick manner. It felt like I was welcomed with open arms into someone's home and encouraged to make it my own during my stay there. I would love to come back.

Quiet and beautiful location, amazing vegetation (fruit trees) and close to the coastline, cute cottage with all amenities (also for cooking), private parking in front of the cottage, good location for hikes in the Waimea Canyon.
These are sweet well-appointed cabins on oceanfront property. The location is great for visiting Waimea Canyon and Koke'e State Park. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. It was handy to have laundry facilities.
There are very few properties that are so close to Waimea Canyon. It is remote and beautiful. Staff were super-friendly and helpful. They called me in advance of stay to give me information and were very responsive. Because of our schedule we never met face-to-face but they made sure we had what we needed.
Relatively big room, shared patio, can hear the sound of the ocean from our room, fairly clean. Good location if you are planning to go to Waimea canyon. Peaceful during our stay but could be because it wasn't heavily occupied.
Nice spot if you want to be on the southwest side of the island. Great starting place for Waimea Canyon and Koke’e Park and beaches. It is a rather sleepy town in the winter with only two places open for dinner within a ten minute drive. Room had everything I needed and was comfortable.
The location was fantastic - close to local grocery stores and businesses. Very quick drive up to Waimea Canyon. Carol was an excellent host. She helped accommodate early baggage drop-off and the check-in/check-out process was very easy. The room was a good size for a couple and the bed was really comfortable.
Location was good. Bed was comfy. I liked the mini fridge in the room. The microwave worked fine. I loved how close it was to the Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali coast. The restaurants close by were good but had limited hours.
The location was great. Closer to Waimea canyon and Waimea was a great town to stay in - very chill and less touristy than the north shore. There were many shops within walking distance. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having a mini fridge in our room and the bathroom was nice and spacious.
