Good park like view out our windows. Clean room and bathroom. Friendly cleaning staff. We had the buffet brunch at Prestons which was very good. The host staff at front and staff at the buffet were very welcoming and informative. Lady at back delivered the waffle when my daughter forgot. Made to order omelets, carving station (pork loin), freshly made waffles, and a number of choices for entrees, sides, salads, and desserts. Soft drinks, OJ, and good Coffee included. They had special on bloody Mary’s and mimosas but we didn’t get them.

We came to the area to see Virginia Tech and this hotel made our stay very comfortable. We especially appreciated the Kitchen Manager who provided food fresh from the back so my girls could enjoy breakfast. (Food allergies) He went above and beyond for us. Thank you Hyatt Place Blacksburg! We’ll be back!
Loved that we could walk to Virginia Tech from the hotel! Breakfast was very good and offered lots of variety. Our room had plenty of space- love that there’s a sitting area in addition to the bedroom space & the bathroom is not tiny.
Great hotel in close proximity to area restaurants and shops and even a movie theatre within walking distance! One can also easily walk to downtown and Virginia Tech Campus from the hotel. Nice amenities and great customer service at the front desk!
The location was ideal. It was in the heart of downtown Blacksburg, walking distance to restaurants, Virginia Tech, etc. and close to Cascade Falls (a fantastic hike and waterfall). Also, it was nice to stay at a smaller facility that is a not cookie-cutter chain hotel. Liked the suite-style set up over one large room. Friendly staff, easy parking.
For a place to stay in Blacksburg, it's always reliable. I've been staying here whenever we have Virginia Tech business or leisure visits (over 10 yrs). This property has outdoor seating that is garden like, an indoor bar area AND several indoor gathering areas that feel private. You can have peaceful quiet relaxation, swim/workout, do your work, or bring friends to meet you there for a bit of low key entertaining.
The location to Virginia Tech made it an idea location to stay to attend the college basketball games as I could just walk to Cassell Coliseum. The breakfast was also very good and highly recommended. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. A nice place to stay. I plan to stay here more often when I visit Blacksburg in the future.
