The Cathedral and San Miguel Chapel are a must.

The Cathedral and San Miguel Chapel are a must. The interior of the Cathedral is a fine example of Spanish Mission style with native decorative color patterns and art. The adobe buildings of the Plaza give a wonderful Southwest old-town feel. The art shops are numerous. One cannot leave without purchasing a personal item made from local turquoise. The Loreto Chapel and the magnificent spiral staircase is worth the time.

Two "MUSTS" for Santa Fe PLAZA, both there for many years:

Two "MUSTS" for Santa Fe PLAZA, both there for many years: 1. Go to the "Five & Dime" for terrific variety of gifts, snacks, T-shirts, drugstore stuff, hotdogs, etc. at very reasonable prices. 2. Go to THE PLAZA Restaruant for a good meal alongside all the "Regulars." Probably a lot of artists go there.

El Sendero is in a great location close to downtown and the plaza with parking for only $10 nightly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the price was fair for the location. The on-site Chinese Restaurant was a huge bonus. Dinner was fresh, tasty and amazing, staff was superb. Breakfast was decent for $8.50 all you can eat. While it may not be as fancy as other hotels in the area, it was solid and a good value.

Lovely room and mine was one with a gas kiva. Cosy, very nicely decorated and fresh looking, with a comfortable bed and pillows and a nice breakfast buffet with hot food included. It’s a motel type setup operated by the famous La Fonda hotel in Santa Fe. The property is in a great location to walk to the Plaza and environs and a block away from Cerillos road, a main road in Santa Fe so super convenient. I was there off season so it was very affordable, and I would definitely stay here again – felt I had stumbled upon a hidden gem.

The location can’t be beat. Right on the plaza. We have dogs who travel with us and they are always welcome. We lived here for 14 years. Been to almost every restaurant and when staying at the hotel we always order room service. Best southwest dishes. Breakfast included

Large, comfortable room with plenty of closet space! Wood-burning fireplace. Sam was a wonderful host, so helpful and accommodating. The location was walkable to the plaza and located near the state government buildings. The hotel and layout felt like a small village of bungalows anchored by the reception office which was cozy, inviting, filled with books on local culture and beautifully decorated. Yes, we would stay again!

It's a beautiful hotel that's really close to the Railyard & the Plaza. We had a junior suite and it was very nicely appointed and really comfortable. It was a great place to get cozy on the day we were snowed in! We only had breakfast in the restaurant, but it was good & had local things on the menu. Fantastic stay!

This is a sweet, small, older property and if you like something way more cozy and homey than the typical hotel room, this is for you. The rooms aren't large but definitely have character, and are very clean. The location was great as well, very close to the Railyard, and about a half mile from the Plaza. You could tell the owners of the hotel are very concerned with guest comfort. We felt very welcome and felt we could ask for pretty much anything while he.

Can’t beat the location. It’s probably the only hotel under $200 in walking distance to the plaza, which is why I stay there when I’m in Santa Fe. The staff is always nice, the rooms are meh- what you expect at a Motel 6. If you’re on a budget in Santa Fe, this is a good place.
