This hotel is such a wonderful value! My room was very up to date, roomy and squeaky clean. The bathroom was spacious and included a luxurious shower and a mirror enabled with bluetooth. I was in town to attend a baseball game at Minute Maid Park and only had to walk a few short blocks to get there. The staff was friendly and accomodating. I was only there one night but I wanted to stay more. I would definitely choose The Cambria the next time I visit Houston.
The host was super responsive and accomodating. They were quick to help. The apartment inside was very clean, it had all the ammenities needed and had extra towels and linens. Exactly as showed in the pictures. Just a few blocks away from Minute Maid Park which was perfect because this was a weekend trip to see an Astros game.
From the front desk staff to the aesthetics of the front lobby, this property carried a sense of class for the value it was charging. The location was nice being off I-10 and was only a 14 minute drive to Minute Maid park. I appreciated that the hotel had an actual bar and restaurant, made for a nice chance to unwind at the end of the night. I was hesitant to book in certain areas due to recent upticks in cars being broken into however, the property felt safe and the cars were all taken care of in the gated lot.
It was an ok room. The location has its pros and cons. Being downtown, there is absolutely no parking and it is a little difficult to pull up in front of the hotel. You essentially have to use the valet and that's $34 a night. On the up side, you can pretty much walk to numerous eateries, bars or even Minute Maid park.
Location, walking distance to Wortham, Jones Hall, Alley Theater, Minute Maid Park. Small boutique hotel but it has a full service restaurant and a nice bar. A very good breakfast was included. Lots of complementary snacks and drinks and water in the room. Lovely robes and slippers, too.
