The room was spacious, clean, and well stocked (including a bathroom scale!). We've stayed in NYC before and most hotel rooms are very small. This room was spacious. Only 4 other rooms were on our 25th floor. It was very quiet.

Nice modern hotel in a good location. Room and bathroom were spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The snacks and water in the room were a great touch as well. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

I was not sure who owned the property.
I was not sure who owned the property. My family made a special trip to visit the garden by taking 1 hoir train ride to the garden. Since it was 2 days before Christmas the weather was not cold and windy. At the gate we found out it would cost us around $150 for our family to to see a garden where no flowers blooming and everything looked grey. Bu honest mistake we entered a building to use the bathroom. Behold there were 4 staff members standing outside accused us trespassing. We had the most horrible customer service experience ever.

The proximity to our event at Madison Square Garden was excellent. The room was a great value for the time spent there. I have read other reviews and it seems to me that the reviewers were a little entitled and should have booked a different place to stay accordingly. Staff was amazing and friendly. The meme pictures on the wall enhanced the overall experience. If I return to the area, I will book again.
The location first and foremost. The hotel is located right next to Madison Square Garden. You can easily walk to Hudson Yards, The Empire State Building, Times Square, Penn Station and Macys to name a few well known landmarks. You also have easy access to the 34th street subway station. As the saying goes “Location, Location, Location”. The New Yorker Hotel is in a prime location!!!
Courteous, helpful staff. Very respectful place. Continental breakfast every day. Very near Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Clean. Staff helps with luggage if needed. Quiet at night.
