Huge park, larger than Central Park in NYC.
Huge park, larger than Central Park in NYC. Lots of trails and paths, beautiful landscaping and gardens. Cal Academy of Sciences is a must visit with a planetarium, aquarium, and rainforest inside. There is also the DeYoung art museum directly across from CAS.

We walked along the bay from Pier 33 it us a long way but plenty of places to stop grab food or coffee and you see some quaint places. We took a bus back from the visitor centre at the top by the toll gates. Once the buses have come off the bridge they all go to the same spot in the city centre.

Well, what can I say - the one and only.
Well, what can I say - the one and only. Beautiful seaside ambience, fog blowing through the eucalyptus trees, and so many amazing things still echo from days gone by. Be aware of your surroundings but enjoy the magic.

Clean room with a king size bed, TV, AC, microwave, and fridge in an older building. Staff was friendly and helpful. A short walk west will take you to Little Russia, west will take you to Inner Richmond, and south will bring you to Golden Gate Park. Buses ran along Geary Boulevard if you need to go somewhere else.

The hotel was well located for the half marathon we were there for. There were some restaurants and shops around and it was a good walk to the waterfront and piers, and a longer walk but which we enjoyed to the Presidio and Golden Gate parks.
The location is fantastic, right next to Golden Gate Park and parallel to Upper Haight. Plenty of parking in the lot across the street. The people working here were very friendly, and breakfast was great.
The location was convenient to Golden gate park with bus transport within 50 metres of the front door that took you straight along Lincoln drive and into the Haight Ashbury area or to the beach. Quite noisy and could hear other guests in their appartments walking around, pipes noisy. Great restaurants within easy walk, good clean laundry nearby.

Golden Gate park has sooo much to offer including its history. There's a conservatory, a Japanese tea garden, stables, two museums, countless wooded and grassy areas for any kind of sport or recreational exercise, they've even got Bison. Not to mention that the city as a whole including the parks are super dog friendly.
