The girls have stayed in several different bed and breakfast hotels in Ashland and this one was their all-time favorite due to it beauty, elegance, thoughtful touches and prime location. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet despite there being at least a couple of boisterous groups on the same floor with us, but the surprise was breakfast. The Stratford Inn has a continental breakfast buffet that we really enjoyed. I had granola with additional walnuts, vanilla yogurt, and FRESH BLUEBERRIES (where did they get those in November?). We didn't use the pool or the Wifi, but what we experienced was all good.

I'm a latecomer to the B&B experience, but this was a superb introduction. Pleasant house, extremely congenial innkeepers (who'd have predicted we'd have fairly similar science fiction libraries?), and well-prepared breakfasts. Other guests were similarly congenial, and the household was pleasantly quiet at night when it needed to be. All in all, a very smooth and peaceful stay.
