Old hotel but fair price. Friendly staff and a clean, small pool. I could have wished for a key chain on the door. I am in a foreign country and dont know about the crime, so it will help to feel safe at night. I have prior to this holiday been robed during the night in a hotel where they could open the door while we sleped in the room

EVERY ROOM IN THE HOTEL HAS A GREAT VIEW OF IT. tHE PARK HAS A SMALL FREE PARKING LOT BUT YOU CAN WALK TO IT FROM THE HOTEL. ITS A GREAT PLACE TO BRING A PICNIC LUNCH OR JUST FOR A WALK AROUND THE ISLAND. IT'S A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE PICTURES. BE SURE TO BRING YOUR BINOCULARS WITH YOU! HILO'S HARBOR IS VERY LARGE AND YOU CAN SEE MOST OF IT FROM THIS PARK. YOU CAN LOOK UP TO MAUNA KEA, THE EXTINCT VOLCANO THAT LOOMS NEAR HILO ACROSS THE HARBOR. ANOTHER PARK - A JAPANESE GARDEN IS NEXT TO COCONUT ISLAND. IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND A GRAET PLACE TO TAKE A WALK. WE NOTICED THAT SOME PEOPLE WHO LIKE TO WALK COME HERE EVERY DAY. BUT WE DID NOT SEE A CROWD THERE ANY TIME WE SAT ON OUR BALCONY.
